Arc Keyboard

Got a chance to step out of my norm and shoot some commercial oriented photos for Microsoft awhile back. The Photos were used at this years CES Electronics Tradeshow. Debuting Microsoft's new Arc Keyboard. Showcasing its sleek design and portable easy to hide-away at home size. I think they definitely took a step in the right direction with this nice looking piece of hardware.

Photo Of The Day

Saturday morning breakfast and coffee. I love making food and am trying to get better about shooting more of it. Working on a few Food/Photo projects that I will be posting sooner or later. I was motivated to make some fried eggs this weekend after listening to my friend Molly's new Podcast. Check it out!

Blog & Show Love

Got some nice press this week for my show currently running during January @ Bo Concepts Pop Up Gallery in Pioneer Square. A nice writeup from both:

Laura Cassidy of Seattle Metropolitans Style Blog
The Aesthetic206 Blog

Also, never blogged it until now but extremely stoked to see a post linking to my work on Light In The Attic Records Blog last month. I've been a huge supporter of what the label does and it means a lot to be noticed in my own field by them. Looking forward to hopefully working with them in the future on some sort of release project or live show. Full Light In The Attic Writeup HERE

B.A.B.Y & Binary

Nashid aka ONEBELO, formally of Binary Star has become a good friend of mine over the years. Thanks to meeting him through some mutual friends about 5 or 6 years back he became the first musician I ever took a portrait of. We have since shot over 5 different portrait sessions and I have gotten to travel to Michigan to see his home town. This week my buddy Patrick and I will be shooting a music video for his new Album B.A.B.Y (Being a Black Youth). I really think this album could be his best work to date and am excited to create a visual to match the themes and mood of the album. Its a really positive piece of music that shows Lo's evolving skill on the mic but more importantly his ties to community, world problems, and helping youth.

Ill be posting the video when we finish but for now here are a few old photos of him I still really enjoy as well as the flier for this weekends Binary Star show. If you never caught the group in their prime come out to nectar for this rare chance to see the duo performing. Could be the last time it happens in Seattle.

First Thursday

Bad Luck & Shabazz

Sorry for the slight delay in blogging lately..Had a stroke of bad luck losing my house keys and having my Macbooks HD Randomly fail and crash...

Im finally back on my feet and working on the stack of photos I have to edit this week. Also planning a lot of fun shooting in the next few weeks.

Had the pleasure of working with one of my favorite groups of 2009 for this weeks Stranger Lead Music Feature. Featuring Ish from Digable Planets; Shabazz Palaces records were some of the illest hiphop to come out of anywhere in the US last year, let alone seattle. Im stoked for their first live show this friday. These were my favorite two from the shoot. They wished to keep their faces hidden which is why both dont show any face detail.
