Inspiration: Sean Pecknold

Primarily known for his Video work (Music videos for Beach House, Elvis Perkins, Grizzly Bear, and more...), Sean Pecknold is an all around talent. Stephen Shore: Uncommon Places

I am finally the proud owner of this gorgeous hardcover book. Published a year before my birth in 1982, it still inspires me and seems as fresh as anything being shot in the same vein today. The color work of people like Stephen and William Eggelston has inspired a lot of my work with or without knowing it. Below are a few of my favorite color shots ive taken in the signature spirit of Shores Uncommon Places.

KeepItLight Week6

The group is back in action after a few weeks of holiday hiatus. This week's Keep It Light assignment was to take us all out of our portrait realms. I love shooting other things besides people but its obvious almost all of us in the group favor portraits. I decided to take a photo walk and instantly was drawn to this 1960's Comet.

Utah Hasselblad Shots

More Film has arrived from the road trip. Bryce Canyon/Zion were definitely the coolest places to take in visually. I'd highly recommend a visit sometime in you're life. Honestly doesnt even feel real when you're staring at it.
